Lorelei's artistry is best identified as an electrifying fusion of Christina Aguilera's powerhouse voice and Latin roots brewed with Pink's pop/garage glam, and sprinkles of John Lennon-esque inspirational piano ballads. The daughter of two career diplomats, Lorelei had lived in seven different countries by the time she was 15. She says, “Being exposed to so many different cultures and lifestyles really allowed me to become more eclectic as a musician.“ Fluent in both English and Spanish, she started singing as a toddler, learned the piano at age seven, and began composing her own music by age eleven. At thirteen, she performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. A freshman in high school, she trained extensively with a renowned vocal coach in Switzerland. Subsequently, Carlson was set to make the most critical move of her young life: back home to the United States--- this time for good.

During her senior year in 2007, she recorded her most prominent four-song demo, “Without You”, engineerd by Grammy Award-Winning producer Phil Nicolo. It took six nights a week of honest labor at Pizza Hut to afford the cost of recording. “The work is never ending. You have to be completely relentless in this business. If it means taking three buses and a train to get to the studio, skipping meals to save money or missing out on social activities, then so be it. You simply have to believe in everything that you do.“

Since starting up and self-promoting her MySpace page three years ago, Lorelei is now on the brink of 1,000,000 plays and has amassed and astounding 42,000+ fans, making her one of MySpace’s top unsigned pop artists. Among the characteristics that distinguish her from many of today’s contemporary pop artists, not only does she write her own songs, she produces them as well. This includes her latest release “Alone”, a hypnotic track performed with a dose of pop/rock energy. Without the backing of any record label, Lorelei has managed to accomplish a feat many signed artists struggle to--- develop a devout core of fans, including 25 different fan-run street teams and fan sites online. Today, Lorelei is poised to emerge as one of pop music’s new generation icons. "This is my dream, my passion.
