About me:
Hi, I'm a romance novelist, and I enjoy writing romantic suspense novels as well as historical stories. My first historical novel, Highland Rebel, was published in the US by Whiskey Creek Press.
To let you know a little about me, my mother once told me I was a descendant of the Yetholm gypsies in the Scottish borders and so I reckoned that’s where my love of travelling came from. My mother and father also instilled in me their love of books. Although I was brought up in Hawick we later moved to the Black Isle in the Highlands of Scotland. That's where my imagination flourished as my passion for Scottish history grew.
Nowadays I live in New Zealand where I stopped for a while as a backpacker and never left. But I often yearn for my homeland of Scotland and I hope to spend more months there in 2009 working on my novels.
My second novel, True Deception, a romantic suspense has recently been published by Robert Hale publishers in the UK. It's a story pretty close to my heart as the heroine is also Scots so many of her impressions of New Zealand are also of my own. She rides a Triumph Tiger motorbike and is on the wrong side of the law. She meets a New Zealand cop and against her better judgement falls in love with him.
