My favorite pasttimes are like most warm-blooded Americans, NASCAR and baseball. My favorite driver is Tony Stewart. Please reserve your sour comments. I've pretty much heard them all. I've been watching Tony since he drove dirt cars. I like him because he can drive anything with four wheels, an engine and a steering wheel. He's a pure racer. I'd know, 'cause I grew up around it. My favorite MLB team is the Angels. They'll never be the LA Angels to me. I grew up a CALIFORNIA Angels fan. I also watch football, usually when either my 49ers are playing, or on Saturdays when my boys from USC are playing. Go Trojans!!!! I obviously write in my spare time, but I also love to read, horseback ride, go to the movies, and spend time with my family.
  • Music

Mostly Country, but I listen to everything from classical to rap to country to heavy metal. My favorite artists are Trisha Yearwood, Def Leopard, Bach, Chris Daughtry, anything 80's, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. People think I'm weird because I have such an ecclectic music selection on my MP3 player. I even have some Prince and Stix!!!
  • Movies

I'm a sucker for romance movies, cuz I LOVE a happy ending, but I love all the Star Wars movies, all the Harry Potter movies, The American President, and Gone With the Wind.
  • Television

Love American Idol!!!!! I was a HUGE fan of JAG until they cancelled the show. I watched the first season of HBO's In Treatment and I thought it was a very intelligent show. It makes me wonder if I don't need therapy, though. Absolutely LOVE The Tudors on Showtime. Jonathan Rhys Meyers ROCKS!!!!
  • Books

I'm not going to answer this on the grounds that my views are completely biased. Okay, so I may be biased, but isn't everyone? I've read most of Grisham's novels, all of the Harry Potter series (Loved Book 7), all of Jane Austin's novels, and Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. Both were fabulous.
  • Heroes

God. My parents for teaching me to be my own person. My friend Nathan and all the soldiers who defend all the freedoms we are privileged to have in this country. No one could ever say "Thank you" enough to all who have sacrificed for our freedom.

About me:

Hmm....What can I write about me? Once upon a time, I used to be Lorie Corbin, but obviously that has changed. I have a busy life, though I'd hardly classify it as exciting. I work for an orthopedic office scheduling appointments for 16 providers & managing their call schedules. They are a great group of men and women to work with. One of the doctors I worked with for eight years just recently left, so I'm a little bummed about that. My husband and I just separated. (It's a LONG story.) The weird thing is that I'm really okay with it. He did give me two beautiful kids. Our son, Tyler Leo, was born in 1998, and our daughter, Lillian Joyce, was born in 2003. My children are the most important people in my life. I'm actively involved in our local little league, since Tyler plays baseball. I'm also active in our church, which I enjoy a lot. The rest of my time is spent writing. I write dramatic romance novels. My first one was published in 2006, which I'm pretty proud of. It took 5 years to get there. My second one, called "Love Is..." was just release. I think it's pretty cool. So that's me. Can't really say much else.

Who I'd like to meet:

People who I can really connect with. I'd love to hook up with old friends and make some new ones. I'd enjoy getting in contact with people I haven't heard from or seen in a really long time.
