SONGTRESS LORI JENAIRE
REACHES "FRUITION"
WITH CD RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA - When songbird Lori Jenaire graced the musical landscape a few years ago with her debut CD offering, "Within Reach," music enthusiasts happily took note. The Chicago native brought something pleasingly different yet hauntingly familiar to the scene. A statuesque 6-foot-tall beauty with scintillating vocals, Jenaire's presence conjured up images of divas from an era past like Phyllis Hyman. Her single, "You Know How To Love Me," from the debut hit 19 on the Billboard Dance charts as a remix single and garnered Grammy consideration.
With her sophomore release, aptly titled, "Fruition," on NBE Records, Jenaire solidifies her stance in the music game. The twelve song selection weaves a magical web of rhythms that whirl, sway and weave with seduction and sultry sophistication. "Fruition" is the culmination of inner soul stirrings laid bare.
"'Fruition' is dedicated to my Grandmother who passed away during its recording, " expresses Jenaire. "She always pushed me to record more of my own original music. It was my hope to recapture the melodic qualities of love songs from the classic soul era of the 70's and 80's with this project. " Produced by Scott Canady, Philadelphian native and musical director to Gladys Knight, "Fruition" is the perfect blending of neo-soul and jazz with old school sensibilities and memorable hooks.
Jenaire has been honing her craft for well over a decade now. Busying herself with live and studio background gigs, opening dates for top entertainers and performances in night clubs and jazz festivals across the country, she was finally able to sit still long enough to personally pen a large portion of "Fruition."
Not only an accomplished songwriter/ arranger, Jenaire is also a talented musician, playing guitar, bass and piano. Her resume also includes several national advertising jingles, for Coca-Cola, GE, and United Way, as well as soundtrack work for television and films. In fact, her music is heard regularly on the top rated syndicated television show, "Girlfriends."
Jenaire opens "Fruition" with a beaming cover of "California Dreamin'." With vocals that are upbeat, sassy and finger poppin' Jenaire's rendition redefines the universal pop classic. "Stay Strong" composed by Jenaire with Scott Canady is a lilting anthem of perseverance infused with a West Indian tinged rap by Higher Lion. Tracks like "Danger Zone" and "Unexpected Storm" recall the moody intonations of Phyllis Hyman, as Jenaire's voice takes on the subtle hues reminiscent of smoke-filled, blue-lit jazz rooms. "Pictures" written for Jenaire's recently deceased Grandmother, embodies an impassioned heartfelt love burdened with memories, while "Lately I' rocks with soul-laden melancholy.
Lori's Jenaire's musical sojourn has reached "Fruition" with this release. Whether the perfect accompaniment to a romantic evening for two or background for a quiet evening alone, Jenaire's voice is a soothing antidote for the world's restlessness, commanding calm while defying limitations. "Fruition" is available on ITUNES or at www.LoriJenaire.com .
