From catchy tunes that make you wish you were walking in a park holding hands with your love, to music that makes you bop your head... The Lorimer Sound
________________________________________________________________
From The Fire Escape Talking Blog-
"The Lorimer Sound has, in songs like Photograph and Brooklyn Bound, the awkward naivety and shy romantic tendencies that recall The Lucksmiths of over a decade ago.
An instrumental, Block Party, rather wonderfully reveals the band to have a mastery of 60s girl group pop party music that hints at ambitions outside of their otherwise dominant indie milieu. "

From 'The Yellow Stereo' -
" The Lorimer Sound, a five-piece from Chicago, which kind of remind me of a female fronted version of The Lucksmiths. Just a little jangly guitar-pop, with occasional synths thrown in for good measure. I’ve listened to it a few times in the past hour or so, it’s quite a nice little set of songs to kick back and relax somewhere with a good set of headphones."

Amy told me a bit about it..it's a darn shame..seemed like the pieces were in place. You're too talented not to play for long..I hope your desire is only temporarily diminished. May your grace continue. :)
Hello from Glasgow and thanks for the add. I bought your ep from Wee Pop and it's great- really like the 60s feel to Block Party and the 12 string rickenbacker type sounds are great.
Nice to be your friend! Thanks a lot for the add! I'm seeing that The Dupont Circles are your friend too, great. Snowing In The Springtime really is a beautiful song! Salut, Quentin
Hey I auditioned to play the drums in the Lorimer Sound once like 9 months ago. I turned them down because their rehearsal space was just too far away. Luckily they didn't need me! Rock on!
