I actually love the great outdoors, especially the mountains and the beach. My favorite things include, flower gardening, tea parties, baking, jazz music, music in general, attending concerts, fine dining (Mostly italian) and organic foods, mostly vegetarian, red wine(Cabernet, merlot), organic teas, (I am pretty good at blending teas and herbs), cheese, chocolate, flowers, bubble baths, photography, scrapbooks, camping, hiking, travel, relaxing with friends, yoga, tai chi, dancing and playing with our three dogs. Did I mention that I love spa days? I'm rediscovering myself and enjoying every minute of it!

I can play the stereo very well (LOL). Although, I did play the piano and organ as a child.
Movies
Too many to list! Great movies are hard to find these days. But, an occasional movie is a good thing and something to talk about. Sometimes you need the whole movie experience including overpriced popcorn.
*However, recently we hit the theatres only to put up with noisy children, kids who kicked our seats, and people talking on thier cell phones. Come on people, get a sitter or stay home! We don't want to pay top dollar to deal with your noise. Perhaps we will wait for the blu Ray or DVD so that we can enjoy the movie.
Television
I have a few favorites such as, (Grey's Anatomy, The Practice, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Law & Order, CSI, and Oprah). However, I enjoy movies, HBO and Netflix, unless I need a no brainer sitcome after a long day.
Books
Yes, I like to read, The Bible, Nora Roberts, and Lori Wick novels are my favorite. Magazines are great too! More, Traditional Home, Sunset, House and Garden, Veranda, Redbook, cookbooks (I love to bake) and O (Oprah).
Heroes
Jesus Christ!
Some of my favorite Bible quotes are:
The master said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities"
(Matthew 25:23 NLT)
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
(Matthew 18:19-20)
With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
(Matthew 19:26)
Woman, Wife, Mother, Friend and Entrepreneur best describe me.
I do enjoy being a woman, as I am a "girly girl." Pink is my favorite color, and I enjoy all things feminine.
I am a good and loyal friend. One can never have too many friends in this world.
I am always looking for "fun" ways to be creative. I am a true Diva and domestic Goddess. Yes, I can cook, bake, decorate and do most domestic things with pride and class. At this point in my life, I am looking to meet new people especially Christian women to form friendships with.
*Please note* I take friendship seriously. Therefore, plan to write, post and keep in touch.

What's up Chica! Happy Thursday....Just passin' through. Been working on music and haven't been on myspace much in the last year! Word Of The Week will be making a comeback. Hope this catches you with a smile.
Lori!! Sorry I haven't been in touch. I have been doing more on Facebook and keep forgetting to check things over here on myspace. Are you a Facebooker? I hope that 2009 is treating you well. Things are good for me. Jim and I co-developed a "Tribute to the Music of Doris Day" concert and it is really talking off. We are also starting to give "The Life and Music of Doris Day" presentations which are part lecture and part concert. Our first one will be in 2 weeks right here in my NC town! The paper just ran an article about it today. So, though I had to move out of CA, things are moving right along with my music. I'm studying with a great vocal teacher here and working with Jim's group whenever I can. All the best! - Laura

It's always so nice to hear from you! I'm doing good, but busy as ever! I ran into Scott at the Hip Kitty a few weeks ago. He mentioned that you had been a bit under the weather. I hope all is going well and that you are recovering quickly. I know we are all looking forward to a GREAT 2009!
Thanks Lori! I hope that your Christmas and New Year's celebrations were festive and blessed! I was able to spend 3 weeks in CA making Christmas music with Jim and the group! It was wonderful to spend time at home with my family and reconnect with my musical friends. :-)
