Lori Schneider began developing her vocal style at a young age, singing standards with big bands in many prestigious NYC clubs. She has also performed in an array of rock, jazz and blues bands. In the early 1990s, she was the founding member of Crystal Rose, a popular rock/pop/folk female duo. This was where she began to seriously develop her talents as a songwriter, as well as her instrumental capabilities on guitar, flute and keyboards. To support the release of two albums "Look Inside" and "Weavers Tapestry", she performed in many theatres and festivals within the northeast area and had the honor to sing the national anthem at Shea Stadium for 5 consecutive years. In 2004 she released a solo CD Legend "A Knights Opera", a medieval rock opera, containing an eclectic range of influences from classical, progressive rock, folk and world music.
Within the past several years Lori began pursuing her long term interest in Indian music with Bhajan singer, Kumar Raj Gandharav, has studied the traditional indian raga system under the guidance of Kinnar Seen, and is currently studying bansuri flute with flute virtuoso, Steve Gorn. Her latest CD release "Evergreen Heart" features traditional ragas performed on silver flute accompanied by intricate tabla rhythms. In addition, she formally continues her 14 years of study in western classical piano.
Lori has chosen to devote her life to exploring the many faces of music and continues to delve into the heart of many diverse genres. In addition to composing and performance, she is strongly committed to her private teaching practice.

Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends!
We've just added two new blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our space. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too.
We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy.
Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other.
We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large.
What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
Thanks for joining my circle of friends, for stopping by with your comment and for sharing your fantastic music with the world....keep up the good work!
