JULY 25th, 2009 was my 5th anniversary of moving to Nashville. It was also the 1st anniversary of Rick and Tammy Stewart and myself starting to co-host at the Commodore Grill and I am eternally grateful to them for asking me to share hosting duties and having, finally, a job that pays half way decent money for a part time job !!!
July 29th - signed a new publishing deal. Robyn Taylor-Drake is running the company and they'd already signed 1 hit writer Karen Staley (Keeper Of The Stars/Hey Baby Let's Go To Vegas/A Face In The Crowd/On A Night Like This) when Robyn called and offered me a spot as a writer. What a blessing !
I'm also delighted that I have 2 cuts on Bridgette Tatum's forthcoming album and am praying and visializing and everything else-izing that one might possibly be a single ...maybe. Bridgette is an awesome writer/player/artist and had major success this year with Jason Aldean's multi-week 1 song "She's Country". Check out her debut single "Cowboys Dirty, written by Kirsti Manna. Danny Myrick and Darla Perlozzi).
PS - just had to mention that I met Garth Brooks at the Leadership In Music dinner a couple of weeks ago - and what an amazing person he is.
