Lorraine Howard began singing at the age of 4 in her home church, Oakey Swamp Baptist in Conway, SC, where she was saved and is still a member. Through the years, she has been a soloist, choir member and youth choir director in her church. Her whole life, she has sang as an invited guest in many churches for services and sang at many funerals.
In 2007, she felt a new call from God to record some of the songs that have blessed her audience for years. She stepped out in faith to make her first CD of old time favorites like "Sheltered in the Arms of God" and "Beulah Land". She began to see how God was using her CD as a blessing in places where she couldn't physically herself.
At the age of 45, God gave her a new gift to write songs. She has written about 90 songs in two years. She and her daughter, Lora Long, known as Grace Revealed ministry, recorded 12 of these original songs in April 2008, with the instrumentation by Ken Rivers, Riverglo Productions. This Cd is entitled "Carry My Song". Some of these songs are featured here on myspace and at www.myspace.com/gracerevealed
Lorraine and Lora just released their lastest project in May, 2009 entitled, "Toward The Son", which is a blend of contemporary and southern gospel songs. 9 of 12 songs are original. This has thus far proved to be a very anointed CD that praises our beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lorraine and Lora's duo ministry is new, but they are trusting that God will open doors to "Carry My Song" where He needs it most. They are not seeking personal gain or glory, but strive only to praise and honor Christ in their ministry and pray that when they face Christ one day, He will say, "Well done."
