About the Band:
Losers of the Year is a Rock band from Victorville California. Originally formed in 2003 LOTY has performed countless live shows, recorded 2 full length CDs and opened for bands such as The Matches and The Pink Spiders. The band has come to be known for both their stage presence as well as their hands on approach to everything. The band makes a point of talking too and interacting with their fans at every show.
Losers of the Year is comprised of four brothers....
Joshua is the lead singer and Rhythm Guitar player for the band. Currently Josh plays a black Les Paul and a brown sunburst Fender Jagmaster. Joshua's performance adds an important layer of power and punch to the overall sound of the band. Josh is the classic front man, meeting with fans and venue managers to ensure everything runs smoothly and everyone leaves the show happy.
When he is not on stage Josh is often writing songs, mixing/mastering tracks in the studio, talking to the fans, signing autographs, or just embarrassing himself for laughs.
Jason is the bass player for the band. Among the many basses in Jason's collection, he is most often seen playing one of his many Fender P-Bass Guitars. Jason is known for his fast and complex bass riffs which balance and blend the line between rhythm and lead. Jason's unique style is difficult to duplicate and drives the bands overall sound.
Jason is an engineer inside the studio, a sound and light expert back stage and one of the best bass players and back up vocalists in the industry today.
Jeremy is the bands Drummer as well as a back up vocalist. He currently plays a red Pearl Drum Set. Jeremy's unique drumming style is crucial to the bands overall sound. Constantly working toward perfection of his craft, Jeremy is capable of keeping up with even the best drummers on the road today.
His inventive beats and impeccable timing transform the bands songs into what they are, while adding a dynamic of high energy to every performance. Jeremy's natural ability to change even the most straight forward song into something exceptionally powerful is unmatched.
Justin is the natural Rock Star of the group. Aside from being an accomplished guitarist; Justin is an avid songwriter, Pianist and Drummer. Justin's love of music and style have helped shaped the bands overall sound and image.
He is known for his charm both on and off stage as well as his catchy lead guitar which dominate every song. On stage Justin can be seen playing any one of the 18 Guitars in his arsenal.
Currently the band is writing songs for their third full length CD expected to be recorded and released sometime in early 2010. Losers of the Year has built a reputation for energetic live shows, as well as being one of the most professional bands both on and off stage. Despite their light hearted, self deprecating persona's the band takes their music very seriously and it shows in everything they do.
In the near future the band hopes to hit the road and spread the word about their music.
