Thanks for your help introducing teen readers to the first ever MG/YA novel published in real time in a blog format!

Melly Mills is very tall. Freakishly impossibly tall. Basketball hoops come up to her hips, and most people are only a bit taller than her knees. She looks down on giraffes, and has to bend down to peek into a second-story window. She's just a bit shy of 18 feet, and as far as she can tell from the Book of World Records, nobody else has ever been anywhere near as tall as that.

Her mother died when Melly was twelve. Her father passed away last fall, and fifteen-year-old Melly suddenly found herself alone in a world that knew nothing of her existence--until the day she strolled into town and caused a bit of a scene. The name of her blog is taken from that day's newspaper headline: "Giant girl rampages through town".

Melly has been taken in by the Appletons, who own an orchard adjacent to Mills Farm, which makes it convenient for her to continue caring for her beloved cows. She is being tutored by her physician, Dr. Crisp, and expects to attend public school for the first time, starting in the fall.

New episodes of "Giant Girl Rampages" are posted most weekdays, sometimes twice. It's hard to fit in when you're living large!

A poem provided in observance of National Poetry Month.

Crystal Clear Blue Skies

Towers weep on peaceful shores.
Crystal clear blue skies.
Across the water, we answered the call,
Never questioning why.

Race over the berm and down the road,
Rebuilding ancient Babylon.
Smiles, waves, and shouts of joy.
Gratuities of hidden fire and roadside bombs.

Blistering sun and mouths full of sand,
White salt stains chalk the skin.
Handshake through a turret gun sight,
Peace attempted to win.

Pain, anxiety, disillusionment,
Seek comfort in each other.
Go back again, one more time,
Only for my sister or brother.

Keep up the great work! And if you know of any upper-elementary, middle-grade or high school guys looking for fun, fast-paced, high-action, funny books that are like video games but are easy-to-read (and did I say funny???) then please tell them to try the AL'S WORLD series!

Readers can check out my Website at www.eliseleonard.com, and if any of your patrons want to take pictures reading my AL'S WORLD books and want to email me the pics, I'll put them up on my Website: www.eliseleonard.com on the FRIENDS page! [They'll be famous! I get hits from all around the WORLD!] Just hit the contact page on my Website to send them to me.

Oh, and the second AL'S WORLD book, KILLER LUNCH LADY, was nominated for an ALA Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers, so if you guys want to vote... go for it! (I kind of think AL'S WORLD Book 1: MONDAY MORNING BLITZ is more action-packed, funny, and fast-paced but for some reason, book 2 was nominated?!) :-)

Thanks for the add!
