(We) Lost City Ramblers came from a salt town in Cheshire called Winsford. We fell together when everything else fell apart.
We live together in our house Manchester.
If we do have an agenda it’s to make people forget about the bullshit that surrounds their lives and take them some place else for a time. We love the energy and mystery of bands like The Mothers, Zepplin, Hendrix, The Stones, The Who, The Velvets and The Doors. We want to make a big noise, write great songs, fuck things up and get fucked up before the big black cloud comes down!
We recorded our album summer 2006 with Ding Archer (The Fall, PJ Harvey, Frank Black) at 6db studio in Salford.
One reviewer said we couldn’t be pigeon holed however I think Jodie put it better when she said "LCR are addictive, junk fuelled, the Gemini of Rock n Roll bands; half of it’s a make believe show, the other half the true face of a young man blues."

We are also currently signing acts to production/management/artist referral deals to help further bands we feel of potential, by working on every aspect of the band, from songwriting, production, recording and passing the act onto our list of industry contacts.

The venue are actively seeking bands to perform, so you could hand the promoter a cd and get yourselves a gig.......and Clint Boon is DJing all night, so you could also hand over a cd directly to an XFM DJ.
I'm also sure that the radio presenters from WFM's Suck My Sound will be there too, so there's another demo handout opportunity to do your band some good.
