Those are things that are anti-American."
-Bruce Springsteen

-Commander Adama
"Battlestar Galactica"
"What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much information that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distraction." In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us."
-Neil Postman
"Amusing Ourselves to Death"
"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I did not speak up, because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak up, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak up, because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I did not speak up, because I was not a Catholic. Then they came for me... and by that time, there was no one to speak up for anyone."
-Martin Niemoeller
Pastor, German Evangelical Church
"The consciousness of being at war, and therefore in danger, makes handing-over of all power to a small caste seem the natural, unavoidable condition of survival...It does not matter whether the war is actually happening, and, since no decisive victory is possible, it does not matter whether the war is going well or badly. All that is needed is a state of war should exist. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact."
-George Orwell
"1984"
"I'm a patriot but I don't think Americans are the good guys. I don't think that we've ever necessarily been the good guys, but we created this document, the Constitution, and it's what we'll be remembered for. Cops swear to it, soldiers swear to it. To me, patriotism is about defending the Constitution. Patriots used to become heroes because they stood up to somebody...and they usually got lined up against the wall and shot because of it."
-Steve Earle
"The bankers and the preachers, they nailed Him on a cross. Then they laid Jesus Christ in His grave."
-Woody Guthrie
"So... three hours of pole dancing and bruised. Everywhere... I mean we're talkin' like, upper and inner thigh action-bruised... like a walking black-and-blue mark. I mean really though, really, I didn't know it was actually possible to have bruises in such areas of the body. Strippers dude, I tell you, I really respect the cunts now... I'm not gonna lie to you."

Currently, O'Sullivan and LCE are working on a slate of three feature film projects in conjunction with Producer John Edmonds Kozma (Nick Cassavetes' "Kentucky Rhapsody") and his production company Bang Productions:
The first, a romantic comedy from Producer Scott M. Rosenfelt (producer of such legendary films as "Home Alone," "Mystic Pizza," and "Teen Wolf") is set in the world of reality television. Entitled "One Night With You," it's based on an original story by Dan Lashley and is scripted by O'Sullivan.
Rosenfelt is currently working on the big screen adaptation of the late Larry Gelbart's Tony Award-winning play "City of Angels," directed by Oscar-winner Barry Levinson. His most successful film to date, "Home Alone," grossed nearly $500 million worldwide.
Lost Colony is also in the process of bringing to life the action flick "The Teacher" (from "Monk and Mercenary" producer Tarmo Urb) and the horror film "Hallows" (from "Cabin Fever 2" and "Being Michael Madsen" producer Patrick Durham), both scripted by O'Sullivan.
Patrick Durham is currently wrapping up work on the action/horror pic "The Bleeding," starring Vinnie Jones ("X-Men: The Last Stand"), Michael Madsen ("Kill Bill"), and Armand Assante ("American Gangster").

Who I'd like to meet:
Nice A-list stars who wish to attach to my projects, friendly agents and packagers, investors and financiers, studio and network execs with the power to greelight projects, producers wishing to hire me for actual paying gigs, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Evangeline Lilly, and/or any lovely young actress, model, or regular gal who thinks she can live up to the unfair, unrealistic, and totally hypocritical standards I set for the women who come into my life.
