Although Lost County 35 is a pretty diverse group of people, what we all
have in common is our deep love and respect for bluegrass--from Bill Monroe
to Blue Highway. We believe that our love for the music, and for the
traditions that spawned it, shows in every song we play. Sure, bluegrass is
all about "hot licks" and "sweet harmonies". . . but it's also about family
and friends, swattin' mosquitoes by the campfire, barbequed chicken, hard
times, better times, and just plain unforgettable times. Our goal is to
bring *all* of that to our music--not just the technical prowess and vocal
acrobatics, but also the feeling, soul, and ties to the past that made us
love bluegrass in the first place. (Of course, our other goal is to have a
great time. And our *other* other goal is to make sure our listeners have a
great time too. And our *other other* other goal is to figure out where the
heck we are.)
Well, y'all got the hot licks, the sweet harmonies, and the soul. But please, if you find out where ya are, let me know, will ya? I may be there, too. ;)
Happy to be allowed into your MySpace neighborhood. It is an honor to be here.
