Luke Sky (of Fashion) LOSTDOG NEEDS TO BE FOUND!!
Shimmering layers of heartfelt vocals, guitars, and piano swirl around these beautifully crafted and paced songs. Give me more stars to give to these stars. Tell everyone you know, there's a home for this Lostdog in every CD collection in the land. Brilliant!!

MY BOWIE OBSESSION LEAD ME TO LOSTDOG....
A search on the glam category of rock in CD Baby led me to this album. Mention Bowie (and Pink Floyd as an added bonus) and I'm there.
Instead of hearing an imitative shadow of Bowie's music, I heard a wonderful, haunting, thoughtful series of tunes. "You're Lucky You're Beautiful" soaks with irony, and vocals are heartfelt. Garson's piano contribution is reminiscent of his work with Bowie, but, again, unique to the tunes to which he contributed and not a carbon copy of his work with David. My favorite is "Rocketship," perhaps because of its outsider theme. The yearning sadness of the lyrics and wonderfully expressive voice of Mag convey the disillusion that grows out of youth. "Halfway (It's OK)" - I love the voice-over-voice dubbing, doubly poignant. If only it were ok..... This CD ends with "Green isn't Green." This song, of the 4, had me reflecting on the lyrics. Meaning is multi-layered to me. In other words, this tune makes you think about communication, connecting, and that ultimate alienation that we all feel, no matter what. Here the vocals remind me a bit of David in the 70s when, exhausted, he'd sing "My Death," or "Ziggy." A touch of Eno too, I think. This CD is well worth a listen...more than once.

I DIG IT
Lost dog has a great sound, welcoming vibe and a "I want to listen to it again" aftertaste.

I'd give another star if there were more songs. This just whets the appetite. Rocketship's been on my ipod for a while and is quite trippy and nicely layered. makes you smile and think at the same time, something I often forget to do. Thanks.

As far as the bio, you'll just have to wait for the movie. Let's just say we go way back and have played together in various bands for a very long time. Where we are now is what is important. After taking about five year break from music, we're back and we couldn't be happier. I think we are producing some of the best music we've ever made. I hope you like what you hear. It's only the beginning.
Please feel free to write us or leave us comments on what you think of our music or whatever. We appreciate all the feedback we get.
At the end of 2007, we released our EP, Welcome To Loveland, featuring 4 original numbers that have been described as "beautiful" and "haunting". Please visit www.cdbaby.com/cd/lostdoginloveland and read the reviews of people who have purchased the EP. The Ep features MIKE GARSON of BOWIE/NIN/SMASHING PUMPKINS on piano. Mike shines on these songs and delivers a sound and style reminiscent of his Aladdin Sane days.
Hopefully, if we stay on track we will be releasing our full length CD entitled Sadanthem by the end of 2008. The new songs sway a bit from the sounds found on Welcome to Loveland. Some show the darker, heavier side of the band, exploring themes such as drug abuse and sexual perversions. Loveland is a place that is beautiful and lush by day, sad and stark by night. Of course all are always welcome.
Be on the look out for the Lostdog in Loveland live show called DOG SHOW. Right now we are staying in our home town of New York for these shows but we are talking about a small European Tour.
That's all for now.
We luv ya.
