Homenaje A Los Tigres del Norte.” The album, which is now a highly sought after
collectors item, saw a wide range of leading Mexican rock bands performing a
collection of Los Tigres del Norte’s greatest hits and demonstrating that the
group’s fan base now spanned multiple-generations.

Los múltiples ganadores del GRAMMY® y discos de Platino, Los Tigres del Norte,
son una fuerza social creativa, una voz eminente dentro del género Regional
Mexicano, una voz de conciencia social y denuncia dentro de la música Latina en
general. ‘Los Jefes de Jefes’ se abren paso al futuro inmediato con el
lanzamiento de su nueva producción musical titulada “Raíces”.
Siempre palpando el sentir de su público, de su gente, Los Tigres del Norte nos
entregan un nuevo capítulo de su historia musical.
“Raíces”, como su nombre lo implica, es un nuevo álbum que expone a través de su
repertorio musical la gran tradición y arraigo del pueblo mexicano, de su gente,
de sus costumbres, de su orgullo, de su mestizaje musical y nos remite a sus
raíces, las raíces culturales de Los Tigres del Norte.
El primer sencillo titulado “Rumbo Al Sur” de la autoría de Felipe Valdez Leal /
Ramón Ortega Contreras, es un clásico tema que detalla una historia cotidiana
del pueblo mexicano.
La producción esta nutrida de una inmensa riqueza cultural mexicana con los
siguientes temas: “El Rey” (José Alfredo Jiménez), “Rumbo Al Sur” (Felipe Valdez
Leal / Ramón Ortega Contreras), “El Hijo Del Pueblo” (José Alfredo Jiménez), “El
Golpe Traidor” (Manuel C. Valdez), “No Volveré” (Manuel Esperon / Ernesto
Cortazar), “Mi Gusto Es” (Samuel M. Lozano Blancas), “Sangre Caliente” (Abelardo
Pulido), “Cien Años” (Alberto Cervantes / Rubén Fuentes), “Tu Recuerdo y Yo”
(José Alfredo Jiménez), “Sin Ti” (Pepe Guizar), “No Me Amenaces” (José Alfredo
Jiménez ) y “Tonta” (Tonto) (I. Armento Fierro).
A través del repertorio con temas que ya han sido grandes éxitos de la música
mexicana, escritos por importantes figuras de la canción como: José Alfredo
Jiménez, Pepe Guizar, por solo mencionar algunos, reviven de nueva cuenta en la
interpretación de ‘Los Jefes de Jefes’ que a manera de homenaje brindan a su
público.
