Tony Comeau and Colleen White have been playing together for about 2 years. First meeting in a school for irish music in the Twin Cities, they were surprised to find they lived only 12 miles from each other!
Tony has been playing fiddle since he was eleven. Originally self taught, he has taken lessons with the Center for Irish Music the past few years. He has also picked up the guitar and the pipes, and continues to build his skills with both. In addition to playing with Colleen, Tony also tours with guitarist and singer Peter Yeats, and local bands The Irish Brigade and other solo musicians.
Colleen began playing irish music about 6 years ago. She has taken tin whistle and flute lessons with the Center for Irish Music. She has only recently begun singing. The past three years, Colleen has been fortunate enough to have spent the summers playing in Ireland, and has taken classes at Willie Clancy Week in Co. Clare. She is now a freshman at Boston College, working towards a linguistics major and a minor in irish studies.
Starting when they were 16, the two have gone on to play in venues throughout the midwest including Duluth, Stillwater, and St. Paul Minnesota, and Galena and Chicago Illinois. With Colleen now attending school in Boston and Tony a senior in high school, the two still find time to play together the summer and the month of December (Colleen's winter break!)
