..>..> ...the melodies being dispersed under the roof of some far away cabin where a cult of acoustic guitars gather to converse about love, life and death. Mixed with the outside murmur of ice cream vans, children lauging and other undertones ultimately and undisputedly clashing with ambience. A troll lives in the basement, bellowing out the lyrics he spends all his days writing, trying to defeat the mass of sounds which stop him from sleeping at night. He writes on his walls and in his head, about his dreams, his imaginary friends and all the things he would be doing if he knew how to leave.
First I think I'd better explain our somewhat pretentious name. Incase you hadn't already guessed, it was taken from "Lost In Translation" - which we both agree is probably the best thing to ever come out of the satanic empire known as Hollywood. But as well as that, the notion of being lost there is pretty relevant too. We're both obsessed with japanese pop-culture, and finding it increasingly hard not to be on a planet where technology is such a prominent factor in everyday life. Anyone who lives in the North East of England might also empathise with the level of conformity and repression here, mirroring from modern-day japan into some hellish Western equivalent. But without the drive to get us away from this cess pit we wouldn't have our music.
Now here's all the boring stuff.
So, too goth to mix with charvers, too geek to mix with goths, and too cool to mix with geeks, our lives are pretty much the epitome of being a misfit in Gateshead. Roll on the clichés, here comes the part about being bullied at school and how music saved our lives. Well actually, no. Fuck that.
So somehow we extracted inspiration from this concrete jungle and picked up our guitars to vent it. We were both involved in numberless bands in the past, always cropping up in our circle of friends in vain attempts at curing colossal boredom. We've had the great misfortune of each others company for a good few years now, and we finally came to realise that sanity could only be achieved between us through music. We've written songs to suit death metal, pop punk and grunge, but never really just to suit ourselves. So when we finally did, it ended up being the melodramatic acoustic stuff were playing now.
You guys still working on your music? "Don't Fall Asleep" is still one of my favorite songs, even after all this time. I hope we can hear some new stuff from you.

I very very very much like the new(ish) song :P keep spilling out stuff like that and i'll be very impressed, more so than i am now, it's a shame that most of the input is one sided as of late, i hope there'll be no wasted talent!! Yes i must say that monday night was a very poor quiz night for you lot, i'm almost appalled! it must be all that kopperberg, going to your heads, i say you go sober like me :D better luck for next monday though!! xxx
