  • Bio

Check out the official website at http://www.ASNHipHop.com or http://www.SoulOnaBeat.com ASN is a Boston-born, Brookline and Greater Boston raised recording Artist, Performer, Engineer, Visual and Graphic Design Artist and Producer. His music has been featured in television shows, video-games, program trailers and more. For Amir "ASN" Nedjadi, years of collecting comics and sketching during class as a kid very quickly took a back seat to writing and recording rhymes and compiling 120 minute mix-tapes of other peoples work around the age of 11. Eventually unsatisfied with jumping on other people's "industry" instrumentals, ASN started making his own beats by the age of 14, often from the late evening into the AM. Every weekend night would start with recording a song. After some trouble from his mid-teens until the birth of his first son at the age of 21, ASN began to come at his music with a more professional approach. Hitting up Nelly Pro-Tool's home studio and eventual sitting with That Handsome Devil (THD)'s Jeremy Page at Cybersound Studios, ASN recorded most of his "Made For This" album and soaked up all that he could learn about the recording and mix-down process. Iron-working during the day with South Boston's Local 7 and selling CDs at bars, clubs and streets with heavier foot traffic all night; in between promoting and performing at shows sometimes as often as 3 times a week. The transforming of this passion into a career began to become a reality around 2007, when ASN got to open for and even collaborate with some Artists that he had loved to listen to on his homemade mixe-tapes as a kid. Artists such as AZ, Smif N Wessun, Raekwon and GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, Edo G, Das EFX, Warren G and along with many, many others. It was around this same time that "Eyes on the Prize (originally titled "If You Want It") was licensed for use in Vin Deisel's "Wheelman" video-game, and "Made for This" in a couple television shows and shortly after. In November of 2009, some of ASN's more conscientious and introspective lyrics, as well as his more club/dance-oriented songs landed him a show with Dub Station, a Roots Reggae Band, who was hosting and backing a Conscious Hip-Hop night with Edo G and Masta Ace. ASN has now done many shows as the only Hip-Hop act with Dub Station and is hoping to do a Reggae rendition of some of the tracks they've performed together as soon as mid-to-late 2013. BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR: • ASN's new "24 Six (Mystic Mix)" performed with and produced by Mike Bishop, for which a video with Realeyez Independent Cinema is currently in the works • ASN's "AssasSinatioN Day" Produced by M-Credible of M-Phatik music, for which a music video courtesy of Burning Snowman Productions is nearing completion. • ASN's "Be The Cure" produced by J Cardim, with a video nearing completion by JustLive Entertainment. • Also, two currently-untitled albums; one more "underground" Hip Hop style, and the other more mainstream-oriented are both in the mix-down stage, due for release late 2012 and early 2013 respectively.

AND COP ASN'S "EVOLUTION" AND "MADE FOR THIS" ALBUMS NOW ON iTUNES OR

ASN is making a name for himself very quickly. After years of bad choices that lead him through a series of fights, court cases and jails, the birth of his first child proved to be a rebirth for him as well.

After his release from Middlesex House of Corrections in 2005, ASN put together his first semi-professional effort, 'Evolution’, selling around 1,000 CDs walking the streets of Boston (notoriously one of the least supportive Hip-Hop scenes) and performing at shows all over MA, RI and NH. The album and its response caught the interest of Hendricks Management Group, who decided to take ASN from the home-studio into professional studios, professional production and the marketing of his latest project ‘Made For This’.

In addition to the progress with his recordings, ASN has also worked with internationally-known artists such as The GZA, Raekwon and Killah Priest of The Wu-Tang Clan, Freeway (of Jay-Z's Rocafella Records), The Clipse, Noreaga (N.O.R.E. of Capone-N-Noreaga), AZ, Cam'Ron, Smif N Wessun, Immortal Technique, Special Teamz, Henny of Boot Camp Click's O.G.C. (Originoo Gun Clappaz), Tragedy Khadafi, Made Men, Akrobatik, Krumbsnatcha and countless other Boston acts.

He has participated in and won many freestyle battles and performed in countless shows through-out the New England area.

His music has been featured on mix-tapes alongside Jay Z, Nas, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Fabolous and many, many others.

The debut single from ‘Made For This’, aptly titled 'Road To Success' (featuring Hip Hop heavy-weight AZ) shot to 2 on the US College Radio charts and received heavy play on radio stations and in clubs all over the world. “Smash Em” Reached 3 on those same charts.

His song 'Eyes On the Prize' was featured on Vin Diesel's “Wheelman” video-game for Play Station 3 and X Box 360 and his song "Bigger, Badder" AKA "Made For This" was featured on Spike V's "Blue Mountain State".

ASN is both an introspective Artist and a potential Pop icon, showcasing his versatility by successfully incorporating Rock & Roll, Reggae-tone and R&B into his music, utilizing both the sample-based music that Hip Hop is known for as well as the irreplaceable feel of actual live instrumentation.

Over the past few years, ASN has shown his capability for making great music, linking with some of his genre's finest and gaining a worldwide audience without the backing of a major record label. Just imagine what he could do with one.
