This pop rock band features hooks, catchy choruses and shredding guitar solos with a talented singer whose deep melodic voice sets them aside from your everyday pop/rock band. These 4 guys have found the formula for successfully creating music that grabs you and makes you want more!
Songs tell stories…They function as narratives punctuated by melody and given depth via structure and tonal idiosyncrasies. Some songs have the ability to lift one’s mood to the point of near euphoria while others are able to evoke tears or even nauseating despair within the first few notes. Songs are perhaps the keenest and most accurate descriptors of the human condition. This is why music will never cease to be made.
Lost Time Accident approaches the process of creating music with all of these things in mind. The name of the group in itself operates as a suggestion that much of what the average person devotes his or her life towards is little more than a series of exercises in futility. “Lost”---the state in which humankind perpetually finds itself. “Time”---the unshakable knowledge that we are all slaves to a lifespan. “Accident”---Those rare occurrences that are able to convince us, through the overshadowing of the knowledge of the aforementioned, and through an unconscious reworking of the equation, that all is not without meaning or merit. These strange signals that we rely upon…these phenomena without any conceivable proximate cause…these are what we stick around for. This is why we keep turning the pages. It might be futile, but it’s the most exciting thing any of us has going on.
Songs of sister states and foreign places [various locations in Texas, California, and former East Germany]…songs of self-deprecation juxtaposed upon themes of self-affirmation…songs of searing retribution, wicked intentions, and the most tender of loves both gained and lost…
This is what the listener will find in the music of Lost Time Accident.
So sit back, clear your mind, close your eyes, return your tray-table to its full upright position, and for Christ’s sake do me a favor and open your ears.
