   About Lost Tribe Sound
If you enjoy high quality listening experience stop over to our page at Virb.com.

Lost Tribe Sound is a collective of artists who share a deep love for sounds that connect us to our home. In our present environment, filled with what most consider noise pollution, we have adopted a different view. Combining elements such as lo-fi, traditional folk, classical and ethnic instrumentation, minimalism, found sound, digital and analog production and experimentation with a love for music in its most primal roots, the artists create sound collages which truly take into account the beauty found in our present situations and everyday surroundings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our newest signing slated to be released in September 2009 is the music of Vieo Abiungo, the moniker of multi-instrumentalist, and producer William Ryan Fritch. It aims to depart from the sterility and histrionic production that so many world beat and classical music albums fall victim to. Fritch is primarily known as a composer for film and as the instrumentalist/ arranger for the experimental electronic/ post-rock/ rap group Sole and the Skyrider Band. With this project he has created cinematic compositions that are tactile and linear, but are driven by pulsing, visceral rhythms akin to those of electronica and hip-hop.

A self-taught player of over 30 instruments, he approaches classical composition and traditional music forms not with scholarly intention, but rather with the curiosity and impulsiveness of childlike fascination. This unfiltered and organic pastiche of enumerable musical styles and earthly utterances is Fritch's love song to the deep-seated cadence of African music that pervades our most diurnal rhythms, and the enfolding swirl of sounds that we both create and occupy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take a listen to another Lost Tribe Sound artist, Steve Dannemiller's ambient beauty named, Ocean. The track plays for about 6 minutes, so don't be fooled when it quites down, or you'll miss out. Steve other projects include recording with Joachim Hero under the name Brael, and composing for film and television. Be sure to visit Brael's myspace page for the full epic. These guys are truly family in the highest musical sense, able to bring such soul to what they do, we all feel closer just having listened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first addition to Lost Tribe Sound's catalog has been released. Tokyo Bloodworm's first album is now available through Paypal. The album contains eleven tracks of hand-woven organic electrics. This homespun collection of songs, spans more than an hour, delicately fusing tribal-glitch based rhythms with intricate micro-tonal melodies. Containing beautiful CD artwork inside and out, this limited release comes housed in a few hand-made styles.

You may also download the album in a high quality mp3 format by clicking here.

Grouper (US) has her latest – Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill – of three albums on Type Records. She has also been involved in collaborative releases, contributing a track to Xiu Xiu’s Remixed & Covered and four tracks to a split release with Inca Ore. Her other contemporaries are Belong, Growing, Tim Hecker, Windy & Carl and Atlas Sound.

Jasper TX (Sweden), with a hefty back-catalogue of releases on labels such as Miasmah, and collaborations with buddy Machinefabriek, is an essential domestic appliance in the household of conceptual music. He is comparable to artists Fennesz, Sigur Ros, Múm and Tape.

Intricate and atmospheric songsmith, Danny Saul (UK) performs with different combinations of musicians, making each gig a unique event. His forthcoming release is "Harsh, Final", and he also performs with Greg Haines as Liondialer.

Fieldhead (UK) music delights in tape hiss, bleak landscapes and decaying analogue loops. He is also a member of The Declining Winter and Glissando. His debut album, "They Shook Hands for Hours" is released soon on Home Assembly.

Trespassers William (Seattle, US) are the duo of Matt Brown and Anna-Lynne Williams. "Subliminally sublime and pragmatically perfect, you would have to possess an ashtray for a heart not to feel this coursing through your soul" (DSD Music Magazine). A new EP, The Natural Order of Things, is set to be released on Gizeh Records. They will make a church performance with special guests.

Glissando (Sheffield, UK) “have the kind of atmosphere that can captivate and relax in equal measure- never before has tranquillity sounded so urgent. While track lengths of over 10 minutes may fail to hold the attention of the ADHD sufferers among us, with patience it plays like a majestic dream. And it's one you'll never want to wake up from." NME

Operations (Chris Anderson) is a Manchester based conceptual music producer and sound artist. He performs and records with an array of analog synths and effects, reel-to-reel tape and casette players, and guitars. Followers of Tim Hecker, Slowdive, Fennesz, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Stephen O'Malley, Type and 12K Records will surely nod in approval.

Svarte Greiner (Deaf Center/Miasmah/Type) explores deep into a dark, mysterious and disturbing universe. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Earth, Volcano the Bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the music is draped in Lynchian mysticism and horror film cinematics. "The music of Svarte Greiner is practically perfect. It's like that sound in our heads we've been imagining for ages but had never actually heard." - Type Records.

The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri/Miasmah/Immune) draws as much on modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. His album Glider has appeared on Thom Yorke's radar in making the Radiohead's lynchpin's top ten playlist.

His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon Scott (former Slowdive) is set to be a household name in conceptual music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise, producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.

tHANKS, Syncro is one of my first compositions since I left Nu-metal! band and started to compose what I really liked. My friends tell me that it's good to draw with Syncro (like brain's hemispheres syncronization art and logic ))))
Thanks for your comment!
You have nice deep relaxin effect in the music compositions ) I love it. Cheers from Russia.

Machinefabriek is amongst the finest experimental/electronic artists of today. His ultra-prolific back catalogue showcases his ability to perfect classical ambience, organic drone soundscapes, electronic minimalism and cathartic noise. He is hailed as one of the most interesting new experimental musicians by the Wire magazine.

Xela is the shady, underworld atmospheres and improv horrors of John Twells, owner of Type Records. "Xela has always been able to pre-empt the shifting tides of electronic music and deliver a statement that's definitively of its time” (Boomkat).

His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon Scott is set to be a household name in conceptual music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise, producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.

Beauty found in what's commonly perceived as noise pollution is a wonderful thing indeed.

Thanks for providing evidence, and for the request!
