Wha Gwarn? People call me Lotek but then whats in a name? For your information my mum calls me Wayne...you can call me what you want and I'll ignore you just the same!! I founded the group Lotek Hifi in 2002 after completing a stint as musical director on Roots Manuva's "Run Come Save Me" Tour. Prior to that I spent most of my time in the studio producing tracks on 3 of Manuva's LP's and aswell as contributing in game music for Playstation 2's "The Getaway 2 : Black Monday" I have also produced/remixed/rapped or engineered for Ty,Hkb FiNN,Blak Twang,Elizabeth Troy,Sandra Melody,Diplo, Part 2/New Flesh,Mark "Chopper" Read,Sonnyjim,Plutonic Lab,Ghislain Poirier among others...(you can check my Discography and Bio on Wayne Lotek's Myspace or Lotek Hifi's Myspace ).
Its about time that i updated this blurb...basically i have been to Australia 3 times now (thats a total of 11 months if ya counting) i've done well over 25 shows all over the country including a residency at the Espy with my newly formed Aus backing band The Ubiquitous Dub Legitimizers (See top friends)
Anyway..i've been collaborating with just about every MC i met (that i rated that is) and what was going to be an album is more than likely gonna be two now..so just keep checking back for news...it will be finished this year (I swear!!).
I have already recorded some wicked collabs and have a few more interesting combos lined up but I'm open to suggestions...so if you're an Aussie (resident or national) and you got beats and/or rhymes then holler...no promises but I will listen to any and everything that lands in my inbox lotekdownunder@googlemail.com....thanks to all the people who've already sent me stuff...

I heard somewhere that the gangsters in the 1920's didn't wear pinstripe suits and use tommy guns generally, until hollywood put that image out there...the actors that played those parts weren't really gangsters they were actors...(some actors were really gangsters but that's another story)...thats life imitating art..any dude could put on a pinstripe and they could call themself a gangster, but they are only actors (of actors) .. so how I see 'GO' is art imitating life ... told from first hand experience ..its hard to make that shit entertaining...pc crashes piss a good portion of the first world off everyday..now you can tap your foot to it.
