Since about 1999, I've been playing old-time, bluegrass, and acoustic music in and around Bristol, Tennessee, and for a couple of years, I played it on the road with the Reeltime Travelers. Lotto South is a collection of original songs that came out of playing that music. Roy Andrade, Megan Gregory, and Ed Snodderly are three of the most original musicians I know, and their soulful, excellent, and sometimes funny playing makes this record worth listening to. Keith Smith at EKS in Johnson City stayed up very late making this CD sound great. Erin Fenley made it look cool. I am indebted to the Bystanders, the Jelly Roll Sting Band, and the Reeltime Travelers for the inspiration, arrangements, and final versions of these songs. I gig regularly with Ed Snodderly, semi-regularly with Heidi Clare and Atagallup, and play in the mountain empire's best pop band, The Catbird Seat, with my lovely and talented wife, Mariel. Thanks for stopping by, and drop me line if you'd like a CD.

Hey, Brandon ... thanks for adding me. This is going to sound weird, but actually I found my way to your website on account of your song winning the contest at Merlefest ... basically I just went to everybody's site who was listed in the winners & runners-up and listened to songs to see who & what I liked. And to get a sense of exactly where the categories fall and what chances I might stand should I submit one of my songs to the thing. (Mostly at this point it's just something I figure I might as well do since I'm planning to go to Merlefest anyway.) But to make a long story short, I was very impressed by your songs, especially by the humor in them. So ... keep writing them! And take care!
This sounds really polished! Have you ever played in the northeast? your welcome to make a pit stop in Nazareth, PA. I could get the Borough to contract with you for next summer.
