About Louder Than Bombs Records

Founded late 2006 Louder Than Bombs Records is an off shoot of the popular Escobar clubnight in Wakefield.

In our first year we put out Singles by Little Lee, Micky P Kerr & the Dudes, The Spills, The Hair, The Old House, Ali Whitton & the BrokeRecord Players, Sarah Williams & the So Called Friends and Lapels.

We also released a compilation album called This Merrie City featuring 18 great bands from around Wakefield.

In 2008 we released 'Dogs are faithful, Cats are clever' a split EP featuring Wakefields Piskie Sits and The Spills.

In 2009 Louder Than Bombs Records is back with a 7" and download single by Sketches released on 25th May. This Merrie City 2 released 6th July and an EP from Wakefields Jonnythefirth in October.

Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths.
