Hails from Birmingham (uk) and has recently just completed 4 years of study at Birmingham conservatoire, gaining a first class degree with honours in composition, where she developed a style based on electro-acoustic aesthetics. Louise's other musical talents lie in playing clarinet and drums, touring both nationally and internationally as a backing vocalist and drummer. Louise is also the leader of Birminghams renowned samba drumming group, 'Samba Central.'
'Bleeding Miniatures' is Louise Annette Smarts debut E.P. to be released March 30th 2009. Consisting of 6 tracks, the record explores the sonic properties of acoustic instruments and found sound producing a haunting ambient electronic dream. Her use of colour through the harmonic and rhythmic textures is unconventionally beautiful.
