In December 2005 she released an album of jazz standards and vocalese numbers, and since then , Louise Dodds has been invited to play at many prestigious venues, including two headline spots at London’s Pizza on the Park, has toured the UK and appeared at many festivals. She has also had the privelege of receiving tutelage from many great jazz singers, such as Sophie Bancroft, Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan.
The album, released on independent label DS Records, has received great acclaim and been featured on many radio shows, both BBC and independent. A live telephone interview was also broadcast on the BBC Radio Leeds show “The Live Lounge” via Pizza on the Park.
Since then she has been writing extensively and continuing to perform, both in the UK and abroad. She is also regularly called upon as a session singer for many different genres.
