New up coming artist, Louise Orfila.
Louise has been writing her own songs and music
for some time, but until writing
'Children in Need' at the age of 14, had never
before been recorded in a studio.
Her songwriting talent is equally matched by
a singing voice that would prompt anyone listening
or involved to hope this is only the first of
many in Louise's future musical career.
Early 2006 Louise (Just 13 at that time) had to produce a project for school based on the First World War - The project specified that she should produce something different. Louise decided to have a go at writing a song. The song was recorded at the school studio and she submitted it as part of her course work. The feedback for the song was so strong that it was sent off to the Royal Marines Band Service for their views. At that point we didn't hear anything back from them.
As a result Louise became a very keen songwriter and decided that she would like to write a song for a charity. She decided that if she could record it, she might be able to sell it at school and raise a few pounds for the BBC charity Children in Need. She found a local studio and booked a session.
The session was supposed to last for only one hour but when they heard the song they could not believe it. They decided that it was worth spending some time on it and after three studio sessions and hours and hours of work they produced the final recording.
In 2008, Louise released her debut album 'Piece of the puzzle' which is now avilable on iTunes. She has a a very busy year and is always looking ahead to her next show/performance or day in the studio. She is currently putting together her 2nd album. Watch this space for more information about Louise. When and where she will be performing.
