About me: Hi!! I am a pilates instructor and former professional dancer. My dance career was cut short due to a knee injury, which at the time really broke my heart. Pilates helped me to heal and now I am a full time pilates instructor with my own studio!!!
I have two different certificates in Pilates (Polestar and Stott).
After accelerating my career in Pilates, the development of a bulging disc in my lumbar spine (between L5 and S1) prompted me to completely re-evaluate what I have learned and current training methods. To facilitate this evaluation, I am furthering my studies in pilates completing a Certificate IV in Pilates with Pilates International as well as researched into spine pathologies, studying anatomy, and increasing my knowledge on the mechanics of the spine and associated injuries.
I LOVE PILATES so much that I want the whole world to experience the benefits of it and how wonderful it is!!! I am currently teaching a training course for level one Reformer and level two Mat Pilates through the Melbourne School of Sport and Recreation Management. Hopefully this will bring pilates to more people!!!
