About me:
Louis Vuitton began in Paris, France in 1854. Shortly after starting such a lavish business, Louis won a bronze medal (1867) at the World's Fair which helped the business expand internationally. A gold was also won at the same fair in 1889.
After Louis died in 1892 his son Georges took over the well established company. Georges is credited for the signature LV logo along with the 5 combination lock.
In 1936 when Georges died his son, Gaston-Louis, was granted the helm of the company. In 1983 Louis Vuitton joined arms with 'America's Cup' which lead to the making of 'Vuitton Cup' (The world's most well known yacht race). Louis Vuitton also joined forces with Marc Jacobs in 1998 to enter and conquer the world of high fashion.
To this day, Louis Vuitton holds the definition of classic elegance.
