..-.. ...... ..-.. ..Loulou Djine en concert au Cabaret Sauvage...... .. .. .. .. .... ..-.. .. The story of Loulou Djine began in Paris in 1994 where Dragan Urlic settled after escaping the war in Yugoslavia. Trained as a classical violonist, Dragan joined with a bass player to play traditional and gypsy themes from the Balkans in restaurants, weddings and private parties. Soon more musicians joined the duo to create Loulou Djine and the band started to tour Parisian cabarets on a regular basis. .. .. The pallet of instruments explored by Loulou Djine throughout the years mixes (breeds) French gypsy guitar, gypsy and classical violin, double bass originating in the Balkans and Slavic accordion… At the crossroads of traditional gypsy repertoire and current music, the five musicians of Loulou Djine produce a kaleidoscope of sounds, rhythms and emotions, both updating the heartrending balkanic laments and creating their own original compositions. Loulou Djine established itself a solid reputation within the French World Music scene. .. .. The band has already made three records: Aldranidjo, recorded in 2002, self produced and already distributed, second Transversal, recorded in 2005(distributed by Autre Distribution/France and Europe) and the latest, Fragments recorded in 2006 (distributed by Autre Distribution/ France and Europe). .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... ..-.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .... ..-.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..-.. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....
