A Review By Andrew Hamilton of The Clare People who gave my EP "Delicate Dancer" an 8/10 rating...A Nice Christmas Gift as follows..
Organiser and curator of Lahinch’s White Horse Sessions, Lou Mc Mahon has taken a small break from her day job to push her own musical creativity a little, and about time too.
"Delicate Dancer" the new EP from the Clare singer songwriter is a lovely taster of the undoubted talent that she possesses.
From the early moments of the opening track “A River” it is clear that this is no ordinary middle of the road talent.
The EP ebbs and flows from the slower more ponderous Hourglass (my standout track of the record) to the smokey jazz-trad crossover of Wide Eyed Lady but never fails to capture the listener’s attention.
This is a decent record from Lou McMahon, Delicate Dancer not only points to a huge potential for her future but also shows that she already has the songs at her disposal to make an impact.
Anyone with an interest in Clare music will wish her well.
