    THE SKINTS!

    UPCOMING EVENTS

It's that time of year again, so get ready for some Christmas fun!

This year, we have three great bands to provide the entertainment for the evening:
The Whistle Test Revival (great rock-laden covers band) Heinous Pianist and Ikari
In between the bands and the drinking will also be the announcements for the Lounge Bar Awards 2009.
For those that are new to the system, each year we look back at the events at the bar for the last twelve months. Celebrating those that have stood out at the bar and given great performances and memorable gigs, this is your chance to have a say about what has made you dance/headbang/vomit throughout 2009.
(Note, for the last two sections, voting will open after Saturday for obvious reasons!)

    To vote:
    - Leave a comment on e Facebook page. (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=162918359789) - Send a message to the MySpace page or to "Catherine Jackson" on Facebook. - Fill in a voting form (will be at the bar from this weekend).

    The Lounge Bar on Facebook

    ............

    Kimle tanışmak isterim:

    Here's how to help:

If you want to be a member of the Street Team then welcome aboard! Come and register at Astra in Alton (27 Market St, Alton-(01420) 80619) or via this MySpace. Once registered, we'll give you customised flyers and your work can begin! Hand these flyers to all you see, and they will get 50p off door entry when they come to a gig with it. At the end of each month the flyers will be counted and the Street Teamers who have been most productive will be rewarded!..
The main reason for the street team is to raise awareness of events at The Lounge Bar. If you have friends that come down occasionally but are forgetful-remind them!

When you collect any promotional stuff (posters, flyers, tickets etc) be sure to use them. Use them constructively! Take posters and flyers to school, college, social clubs, work. Don't cake the town in glue and huge posters because it will annoy people and get permission if it's not your land, but make them noticeable!
If you are planning on going to a gig or event and you know that your friends are free, why not all plan on coming together? More people normally means more fun. Remember too-if you're getting your friends to come and hand in your personalised flyers then you'll be doing better for your Team Profile!
If you want one, you're welcome to a Lounge Bar Street Team T-shirt. Wear it with pride. You can choose the size and name on it. Show everyone your loyalty!
Because we are your friends, it's only right that we should be in your top friends list on MySpace. You don't have to, but we'll feel unloved if you don't!
When we send out MySpace bulletins, feel free to hit reply and copy and paste it into your own bulletin so all your friends will see it too. It would be really useful if you could put any flyers or banners we post on your MySpace profiles too.

Put our banners on your page!
Copy the code from the banners that you like and put them in your profile!

      Hey there,

      Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

      Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

      Best,
      Faber.
