InfluencesMostly red wine and real ale! Our set includes a number of covers of songs from from the lighter side of blues and jazz. Our original material draws on a diverse range of sources, displaying some obvious 70's and 80's rock/pop credentials. All played with a cheeky, laid-back minimal candour.
Sounds LikeA lounge band with nothing to lose . . .

   About Lounging About

Let down one afternoon, Andrew went round to Pete' s to see if he could borrow the PA and the means to do "incidental music" at a forthcoming event. What Andrew really wanted to borrow was Pete! Pete agreed and then thought he ought to show Andrew his new instrument. After jamming double bass and piano for an hour they decided that they should subject an unsuspecting audience to their unique brand of musical entertainment . . .

Three months and twenty songs later, Andrew and Pete decided that a drummer was necessary to complete the Lounging About sound. Enter Doug and Lounging About were ready to take on the known World . . .

Even with the excellent addition of Doug to the lineup, after a few gigs the band still believed there was something missing: the saxophone. Enter Charles, and Lounging About frantically prepared for the Raglan Music Festival 2008.

Hey, really glad the gig went well, guys!!

We had a good un last Sunday. Supposed to be doing it without Liam but he ended up making it......... he'd never heard the 1st song in his life, but was straight in after 2 bars. Awesome.

Still looking to head up this way at some point?
