Hi and welcome to my ole skool Flashback page,I love my music,Music has played a major part in my whole life.Although,I can't lead sing, but I can backup sing,I Use to have a group in performing art and Mrs Kim Weston the lady who use to sing with Marvin Gaye many years ago,Well she was our supervisor for 12 yrs back in 1983 or more,But Kim went on tour to Africa and we having heard no-more from her,But the group has splitup and we all got older and marry had more kids lol,But we all still best friends and still talk as of this day,I also can play the keyboard and cornet as well,I must say,Talent runs in our family,When I was growing up,my mom and dad was always playing ole skool songs around the house and I was lovin it,I've been brought up into many different styles of music;The late 60's.
I can remember the good ole time gospel and believe it or not,a little of the 50s Doo Wop,Although I was born in 1958 (Smile!)..Then it was ole skool style with songs from back in da' day… The 70's funk,Smooth harmonies, poetic lyrics,stylish steps and memorable melodies make Classic R&B unique. Building on the Blues, and Pop influences, Classic R&B's golden era starts in the 60s. From Motown to Memphis,I enjoyed Aretha Franklin,James Brown.
The O'Jays,Al Green, Otis Redding,The Four Tops,all your favorites Classic soul and Motown,The Jackson 5,Diana Ross And The Supremes,Little Stevie Wonder,Smokey Robinson and The Miracles,The Temptations,Al Green,Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and many more...The pioneers of old skool rap and hiphop,Grandmaster hardcore,jungle techno,rave, breakbeat and the golden years of underground dance music from the 90's.
