About me: Hello, my name is Emily Harris, and I am currently accepting children for Love&Learn PlaySchool my in-home licensed child care center in Maple Valley.
To tell you a little about myself, I am 27 years old and have been married for nearly 8 years. I married my husband in 2001, and got the blessing of having and instant daughter who was 3 at the time. In March of 2006 I gave birth to our son. Upon my husbands graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2005 we moved to the Seattle area. After 2 years of waiting my husband and I had a home built in August of 2007.
I have a variety of education and training. I have 2 associate degrees. I am certified in child, Infant, and adult CPR as well as first aid. I have completed 30 hours of STARS (child care) training courses. Each year I will be taking 10 hours of continuing child development education. However, my best education in child care is being a mother.
Love&Learn PlaySchool is over 1200 sq ft of our new 3000 sq ft home. The playroom is over 1200 sq ft adjoined with my kitchen and large den. The outdoor play area is over 4,000 square feet with a 6 foot fully fenced yard.
At Love&Learn PlaySchool your preschooler or toddler has the opportunity to learn through play, interaction, and by example from the other children and myself. Your preschooler or toddler can be creative and imaginative through arts/crafts, dramatic play, and the various toys/equipment at Love&Learn PlaySchool.
Babies have the opportunity to play and explore in a safe environment. Depending on your babies age a playpen is used that can convert into either a bassinet or deep crib for their safety while they are sleeping. Your baby has the opportunity to explore colors, sounds, and see other children interacting with each other and me.
