His raw and explosive vocal style is both melodic and commanding ..s such as “Boris”, “Day Trippin’”, “Dope, Sex & Money” and “Bloodflower”. Rarely do you find a voice within this genre of music that crosses such a broad spectrum. Having toured across the states with his former band Blind Rhino, he is a seasoned road-dog and an intense live performer.

The rock-solid pulse of team Opium. His thunderous bass-drum patterns evoke the spirit of the 1960’s and 70’s power drummers with a modern edge; hinting toward industrial and tribal rhythms. Having studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ed’s knowledge of music extends far beyond the drum kit and is an essential element of the Love and Opium sound.

The Music Director of L&O, A Song Writing Master, A Human Vocal Machine, who shares the lead vocals duties as well as playing all the lead guitar tracks that are second to none, just listen to the cd and see for yourself!! He also has been a fixture around New England for many years!
There have been a few big changes for Love & Opium in the last few weeks:
Mike Paull and Christina are the proud parents of a new baby girl named Maia Ariel Paull and congratulations to them on their new family addition.
Stryker has been spending time with his wife and family while his wife has been battling (and beating) cancer. Stryker thanks all his friends and fans for prayers and support during this difficult time. He will be concentrating on family for the foreseeable future and therefore leaving Love & Opium, at least as far as playing in the band for the time being.
Mike Paull has indicated that he will be returning to Love & Opium in 2010 (but we hope sooner) to help get the band ready for gigs to support our self-titled CD “Love & Opium”. The band will be on hiatus from gigs until the time of Mike’s return…
