French and Japanese CultureSOMAI know that I am an old soul and I carry many powerful memories I am very Spiritual but I detest religion, I know it sounds like a contradiction but the way i see it is the point of having religion is to make sure people do good things, but I don't think we need strict rules and guidelines to do that. Being a good person isn't rocket science, we know when we're doing good and we know when we're doing wrong (whether or not we like to admit it). These rules that cause holy wars when all we need is an enlightening discussion about our differences in belief. Alot of times rules help us alot, but with a subject as personal as this they harm more than they save.

11/11/2006 I'm watching a marathon (a standard marathon being a 26.5 mile run) in Richmond Virginia from the final strecth and there were 5 people who finished that stand out in my mind as heros. Now I consider anyone who runs a full marathon to be my hero but these 5 were special.
#1. My dad's girlfriend, Janice, she was my hero before this but shes 59 and has been training for the last few years to run a marathon which is one of her life goals, and dispite this being her first one not only did she finish but she placed 12th in her division.
#2 This guy was a legend, I heard the rumors at least 20 minutes before I saw him. He was about a 5'2" asian man, must've been around 60 and he ran the entire marathon BAREFOOT!!!
#3 At the sign up you had to put your best estimate for how long it would take you to run the marathon and you were given a number (slower the time, the higher the number), Also the runners started in order of their numbers so the fast people didnt have to pass all the slow people, so anyone with a high number would be behind the low numbers. Well while the 3000's were finishing here comes a 7000, and the guy was at least 70 at that, so not only was he 70 and finishing a marathon but he passed about 3000 people to do it.
#4 The winner, he was a thirty year old ethiopian (you know ethiopia, the country where everybodies starving to death). Talk about over coming the odds.
And #5 This guy not only kicked (ran all out for a short burst) after 26+ miles but he did it smoking a cigarette.
Ironically it was a light.
But still, Rock On Mutha Fucka!!!
