Love-cars is a rock band based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA. It features members of The Bad Plus, The Few Nice Words, Halloween, Alaska and Happy Apple. (The band's name is taken from a poem called "Skunk Hour" by Robert Lowell.) Love-cars' previously out-of-print full-length disc entitled "Thank You For Telling Me What I Already Know" (2002) has been re-pressed in limited quantities. To order a copy, visit www.love-cars.com. Sample tracks can be heard on the MySpace music player above. You can also purchase the full album or individual tracks via the iTunes Music Store. "If there were any justice in the world of popular music, this band would be splayed all over VH-1, and in prime time, too, right where Train and Jimmy Eat World normally tread." -- ALL MUSIC GUIDE "Love-cars ain't no emo. You won't find any femme posturing or songs about trikes here." -- PITCHFORK "[Love-cars] make pop music that's too smart to be pop, rave-ups far too intricate to be mere fist-pumping anthems, and ballads that are explosive and noisy but still sweet with self-loathing. Out of these chiming guitar riffs and neck-breaking beats comes the stuff that dreams are made of." -- AOL DIGITAL CITY
