Caution are a band that have been around for 4 years. Consisting of 5 close friends, all living within a mile of each other, Caution are a committed band of 17 year olds that either spend their time to writing music or playing as many gigs as they can.
Considering their age, they have a lot of experience of playing live shows. Having played at various venues such as the Borderline Club in Soho, the Barfly and Purple Turtle in Camden, the Asylum and Birmingham Town Hall, Aylesbury Civic Centre and their local Hexagon Theatre in Reading, as well as gracing the stage in front of the London Library. Caution are a band that are confident in their potential, always entering competitions on a global and national level, and always achieving beyond their expectations, making it into the UK finals of Global Battle of the Bands two years running (2006, 2007) and grabbing a fourth place both times (sometimes believed to be due not to a lack of ability and performance, but due to their age and the scale of the prize available), as well as making it into the final of Live & Unsigned, coming a close second to a much older band to themselves.
On a local level, Caution have set up and promoted many of their own gigs, one of which raising £2400 profit towards Children in Need (We got love). They have a large following around Reading, always playing any gig they can get their hands on, and always putting their all into every single performance, whether it’s in front of 4 people or 4,000.
Not only having a passion for the live atmosphere, Caution also feel at home in a recording environment. They have recorded 3 times at the White House Studios in Weston-Super-Mare, along with recording at Alchimea, Plug n’ Play Studios in Reading, and an extensive abuse of Simon’s recently converted studio. As they are always writing new music, they are recording a new song or new song ideas every week and developing themselves as a band.
Being regular features in the local press, due to their consistent success in gigs and electrifying stage presence, Caution are a familiar face to the local press, after playing many local gigs and bringing in a big crowd to small venues. Caution also have a lot of interest from the industry such as, Warner Bros and Notting Hill Music.
