Cara O'Shea is from Providence, Rhode Island. She was nominated 2005 Best female singer songwriter from the LA music awards. Cara began singing and playing the piano by the age of four. She was greatly influenced by her concert pianist mother, and started writing in earnest at the age of fifteen after her mothers death. She studied classical voice and piano throughout her childhood and then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The depth of her desire and her writing grew enormously. In 2002, She moved to Hollywood, Ca. and continued her education at The Musician's Institute. She has appeared on Entertainment Tonight and the Apollo Theatre in NY. Her song "Just a Girl" was featured in the Documentry "Perscription Suicide?" in 2006. Her music is described as passionate and intense. Her lyrics, honest and always based on her life experiences. Cara gave birth to her son James Michael O'Shea, Jr. in 2008 - her greatest joy.
