Love in Prague

About

Love in Prague is a post-punk duet formed in 2007. They decided to give birth to their first self-produced EP Lost days in 2008. Their second EP Ice ages has been digitally released in December 2011.

Since 2009, the band has given concerts in clubs and bigger halls : they have especially made the first part of the US band Crocodiles in 2009 and opened for Clan of Xymox in France in 2011. Doreen Krase reviewed Ices ages EP in the March 2012 issue of the German music magazine Orkus.

Nowadays, the new songs, still drawing on cold wave and post-punk genre, moved on on a more electronic approach with the use of synthesizers creating an ethereal and gloomy atmosphere. Benoît creates the core of the music and then Chloé adds her catchy melodic bass lines.

Ambient guitar, minimalist rhythms and dark lyrics, Love in Prague is an UFO somewhere between Interpol, And Also The Trees or Slowdive. Their debut LP is scheduled for release on Kalinkaland Records in early 2013.

"A great album for all fans of melancholy sounds."

Interview with Love in Prague in the German music magazine.

"Beautiful guitar melodies, penetrating and highly emotional male vocals, sometimes mixed with a female voice, clear as crystal, an inner melancholy peculiar to certain songs, such are the main characteristics of this blend melodic pop / rock.

One can find thoughtful texts of the French on their self-produced EP "Ice Ages", which could, hopefully, result in a contract and concerts in Germany. This is what we can hope for Love in Prague - and for us at the same time."

"4:59 p.m. A few steps from the forum, Love in Prague, a goth band from Lyon, is raging on the Town Hall square."
