My name is Tomi Akinbode but also known as nexTomi. I love music! Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed listening to music and singing. I have written on my own, I enjoy rap and have written a few of them performed in small settings. I enjoy playing the drums and keyboard at church and when I have the opportunity to play with other incredibly talented musicians. My style is a mixture of hip hop, R&B, gospel, soul, and perhaps reggae. I enjoy listening to music from these genres but I sing and relate to music that is interesting, creative, has a meaning, and is easy to listen to. A few of my favorite artists include Celine Dion, Smokie Norful, Phil Collins, Alicia Keys, Brian McKnight, Kirk Franklin and Destiny’s child who I think are some of the very best contemporary examples of good harmonizing. There are many talented people in the world who have different sorts of styles and messages. I believe I am someone with a message and a unique perspective on things based on my experiences which afford me an interesting style. Somehow I know my voice will be heard and I can’t wait to freely share what talent I have with anyone and everyone willing to hear. God bless ;-)
