The origins and plight of Love, Mara Jade have to do with:
Beer,
Foosball,
Sci-Fi,
an Island,
The Stick Martin Show,
Halloween parties,
open mikes,
friends,
bootleg computer programs,
rent/money issues,
frustration,
futility,

empanadas ..... bean empanadas.
Ah, such memories, with much more to come hopefully. . . .
The DEMOS on this site are 2 acoustic and 1 electric (Last One Standing Go) and they were all recorded within an hour, on one or three takes with a busted computer mic that just happens to be the BEST ONE EVAH, busted or NO headphones and with impatient musicans (US) who haven't set aside enough time to work on these because of our schedules, because we're always in a rush and wait 'til the last minute, and because we're MOR-RONS!
We added a podcast from September 19, 2008 that we were apart of called Seven Sessions. We give much thanks and even more humbleness to Nick Noir who ran the show, and not to mention, resheduled us THREE times over the course of a month in-spite of our futility. And he didn't have to. 3 songs, 10 minutes, 19 seconds. You'll hear a coffee grinder in the background during the 2nd song, I believe, since this DID take place in a cafe. We wanted to take credit for that because its an odd but interesting juxtaposition of sounds, but alas, we rightfully give it all to the guys behing the counter @ Tillie's of Brooklyn. We just wish it was mixed-in correctly. No worries.

Please be kind, and drop a line (and of course, that rhymed). Do we suck? What can be done? Are we the next "Local H"? Feedback people. FEED-IT-BACK-TO-US.
With sincerity....
Love, Mara Jade
