Five years - five cities
the Loveparade will be held in a different city every year: 25.08.07 in Essen,
Dortmund in 2008, Bochum (2009), Duisburg (2010) and Gelsenkirchen (2011).
This will give the event an added measure of dynamism and variety. Participants
and TV audiences alike will get a different backdrop and new visuals each year.
No chance of ever getting bored!
Politicians back the Loveparade
The necessary assurances have been provided in the form a framework agreement
that allows planning for a five-year schedule of parades to go ahead. Politicians
have thrown their full support behind the Loveparade. Never before has the event
received backing of this kind.
Music and the 'scene'
The club scene of an entire region will be actively involved in, and supportive of,
the Loveparade. In keeping with the trend established in 2006 the Loveparade will
be broadening its musical programme. This will bring a more diverse crowd of people
to the Parade. The core character of the Parade - electronic dance music - will
naturally be retained, but there will be a wider spectrum of music styles on offer.
The usual performances by world-famous DJs will be interspersed with a larger selection
of live acts. This year's Loveparade will have something for everyone!
Finally and proudly we have released the date of the 2008 Loveparade which will
commence on the 19th of july in Dortmund.For the very first time the B1 national
highway will be closed to allow access to all party lovers to enjoy "The highway
to love" and its finishing point in front of the Westfalenhallen.
We have been very lucky to secure this event area as the highway route connects west to east
with a traffic flow of 100 000 cars per day, and also beeing the main arterial route through
the ever growing Ruhr district which is the most densly populated area in Germany.this is an
absolute first in the history of Germany that a highway has been closed for a music and cultural event.
Leading up to the parade on saturday,we will be kicking off the weekend warm up by
incorprating all clubs in the area to promote and play their best music for you with
guest appearances by top international DJ s .this starts on Thursday 17th until
sunday 20th of july so keep lookout for your favorite DJ and head on down and support
the local club scene.
It is the aim of the loveparade to keep on adding new acts and increasing its music
culture and variety to offer you an unforgettable experience which is the Loveparade.
And not forgetting our international dj line up which will be the headline attraction
at the main event.all Djs to be announced in May.
We have also know opened all float applications which are only avaiable to clubs,
record labels,event organisers,magazines,booking agencies and club culture agents,
