URGENT: Wanted Two Bands for Label Consideration

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.

* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.


2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.

* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

Only send one email with your links. Due to the volume of responses normally received for these types of opportunities. After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.

First off I would like to issue a personal apology to ALL the Alliance Fest bands for the way Saturday's festivale was handled. We (Mainely Music Alliance) were told there wasn't going to be any charges to the bands merch tables. Which we all know now to be untrue. If we had of known these factors we would of NEVER went through with this show. I know some of the bands were treated with disrespect by the mainetix.net event staff and I apologize whole heartedly. This is NOT the way we conduct ourselves. I know there were some rumors flying about, on the reasons I was kicked out of the festival. I can honestly say that is was a major disagreement on the way the other promoter was treating the bands. I was told he was not paying the bands, and wanted money from the bands on merch and cd's. My personal and business opion on this issue is complete bullshit. We would NEVER knowingly put any band in that situation. All of you guys spent alot of money and time making this show possible and WE DON'T BELIEVE IN PAY TO PLAY. Espicaly when we are told of all the charges at 11am day of the show. As the Mainely Music Alliance our TOP priority is the BANDS. You guys are the reasons we do, what we do. I have nothing but respect for each and everyone of you. I realize that getting kicked out of our own festivale is no where near professional, but I hope your band will realize we dare to do what is right no matter what our own personal cost is. We stand for what is right and we WILL NOT let our local bands get screwed by a money hungry promoter. Local bands are what we live for and we will continue to always fight for your band and do the right thing.
