Towards the end of 2008, Sea To Sun released Sylvia Tosun’s ‘Underlying Feeling’. The track was huge on dancefloors everywhere, topping numerous dance charts in the UK and establishing Sylvia Tosun as a name to watch. It swept across the dancefloors of Europe before hitting the top 10 in the Billboard Dance chart in the US where it stayed for 4 weeks. Sylvia’s aim to ‘merge the worlds of classic songwriting with electronic music for the dancefloor’ had already delivered a classic.
Loverush UK have been steadily building a name for themselves since 2007, releasing a string of quality releases, collaborating with a range of artists including Boy George, Marcella Detroit, Kirsty Hawkshaw and more. International breakthrough dance act (2009) Loverush UK! have become an instant global phenomenon with their epic electronica music.
The London based dance act first appeared back in 2005 with their massive debut single "Perfect Honey (Temptation)" a collaboration with the legendary cult singer Marc Almond (of Soft Cell fame). The single was snapped up by international artist/dj Paul Oakenfold's legendary dance imprint Perfecto Records.
In 2007 Loverush UK! writers and producers Kinky Roland and Mark Loverush teamed up with two other key cult figures from the 80's and 90's, Boy George on "You're Not The One" which was quoted by Sirius the best thing Boy George has done since his Grammy Nominated "When Will You Learn" and "Mystery To Me" with Marcella Detroit (of Shakespear Sister fame). which became an instant hit on the UK Gay circuit. Later in that year they also worked with the legendary voices of trance Kirsty Hawkshaw "Loverush", Andrea Britton "Deeper" and the voice of Shelley Harland "Different World". The latter of the three was hugely popular with the likes of Paul van Dyk who supported the single over 12 times on his successful Vonyc Sessions radio show and even supported the release on his "In Between" album tour. The single catapulted the UK Club Charts and even featured Phillip "Pacman" McCheeb in the video, best known for entering the USA Fox hit show "So You Think You Can Dance" which was heavily featured on Logo TV (MTV, USA).
It wasn't till late 2008 and the start of 2009 that Loverush UK! catapulted into a global phenomenon. Their single "Fountains Of Youth" with Molly Bancroft became an instant cult classic chillout anthem smashing the UK Club Charts where it reached Number 2 for 2 consecutive weeks in the UK Music Week Club Chart and was even voted the 12th Biggest Record of the year in the Music Week Annual Club Chart.
In 2009 Loverush UK! teamed up with international singer songwriter Sylvia Tosun and Anton Bass on the pop dance hybrid "5 Reasons". The single not only gave the boys their 2nd consecutive Number 2 Music Week Club Chart anthem, but crossed over into the USA Billboard Hot Dance Club Play reaching Number 7.
The single was supported by heavy weights including Paul Oakenfold, Faithless, Cosmic Gate, Matt Darey, Sandra Collins, Out Of Office, Guro Josh Project to BBC Radio 1 DJs Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Scott Mills. The video was shot by international director Mike Ruiz and featured clothes by international designers The Blondes.
In the summer of 2009 Loverush UK! catapulted back up to Number 2 in the Music Week Club Chart with the re-release of "Fountains Of Youth" with Molly Bancroft and now is crossing over to America where its currently debuting in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play.
Loverush UK! are currently promoting their brand new single "Give Me Your Love" featuring Carla Werner (of Oakenfold's "Southern Sun" fame) and is already starting to cause quite a stir with the elite DJs such as Armin Van Buuren c/o the Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix. Kinky and Mark have completed remixes for artists such as Jimmy D Robinson Presents Ceevox "In The Night" which reached Number 4 on the USA Billboard Hot Dance Club Play and co produced and wrote their follow up single "At Midnight" which reached Number 2 in the Music Week Club Chart and Top 20 of the USA Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. Further remixes for 3BE Featuring Kelley Barnes, Damien.S Featuring Femke, Moondog, WAG011 Featuring Neja, Alan Connor, Aviv Geffen, Holly Rose and ASH which has been heavily supported by Tiesto in Ibiza 2009.
Look out for the forthcoming album due out early in 2010 which will feature further collaborations with Molly Bancroft, Sylva Tosun, Carla Werner, Lee Thomas, Katie Marne and Andrea Britton. They are planning on re-releasing their massive dance track "Different World" with Shelley Harland and just about to remix the massive Alex M.O.R.P.H. record "Sunset Boulevard".
