About me:
I'm Chella, and this is the zine I wrote for the 24 Hour Zine Thing in July 2006. It's quite different from a lot of my other projects, so it's got its own myspace page. I'm really interested in diy libraries and zine libraries in particular, although I'm kind of addicted to libraries in general. I also write YA stuff, pop culture columns, and a regular zine (a periodical, if you will) called Adventures in Menstruating. Low-Tech Library is 24 A6 pages of "DIY how-to" zine, plus colour cardstock covers. It's an instruction manual for anyone who wants to start or maintain a library for cheap or free without having to rely on computers for cataloging or circulation. It also has articles on creating your own storage and running library events and activities. Get in touch if you want to distro, trade for or otherwise acquire a copy, or if you've got similar interests.

Hi all,
May is National Mental Health Month. We are happy to announce readergirlz has chosen Dia Calhoun's book, The Phoenix Dance, as our pick this month.

We hope you can stop by! Her full issue will run at www.readergirlz.com; you can drop her a comment at www.myspace.com/readergirlz, and then chat with everyone, including Diva Dia, at http://groups.myspace.com/readergirlz. Tell us about your favorite shoes!

Hope to see you there! Let's work together to bust the stigma against mental illness.

Hey Library DIY, Cool Profile!
I'm currently trying to get a zine published at my high school. Wish me luck!
Also, I love the mail art of Ray Johnson. Is there still a mail art movement?
Happy reading,
pam

Sounds like an "open source" library! Very cool. Thanks for finding me.

Let me know if you find
librarianplanet.com
useful for all the latest library-related newsfeeds.

And of course, do check out your "inner librarian" at
librariandressup.com

Enjoy!!
