James Prestwood, best known for his groundbreaking work as lead
guitarist and driving force behind emo/indie cornerstone group Hot
Rod Circuit, will soon be releasing his debut solo album, The Hurtin'
Kind. Not one to stick to current trends, Casey's debut showcases his
life-long passion of honky tonk from the good ol' days of country rock n roll in
the 1970s, evoking memories of Gram Parsons and Merle Haggard. Featuring an
eclectic cast ranging from Arabella Harrison, front woman of emo pioneers
Jejune, to Neil Flanz, steel guitar player for Parsons himself, Prestwood's
band helps to flesh out his vision. The Hurtin' Kind is out now, and all orders will ship when received. Also keep your eyes posted
