About me:

THE LOWER PAXTON YOUTH CENTER is a non-profit organization in a little building at 100 Elmwood Drive in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We have shows, Vegan dinners, art nights, movie screenings, poetry readings, a NEW zine library, A LOT OF FUN, and other exciting endeavors! We hope you and your friends will be interested to come out to the LPYC, have a good time, and dance!

ATTENTION BANDS: The youth center is a registered NON-PROFIT organization providing programs for greater-Harrisburg area youth. We only run weekend shows two to three times monthly on a volunteer basis. Due to the huge amount of booking inquiries, we will ONLY accept e-mail messages in regards to booking. Please only message us if it is urgent. We take community, volunteerism, art, and positivity seriously and we know that you do too! Thanks for your interest and we appreciate you!

liam	Oct 27 2009 1:25 AM a long time ago there was a little painted building behind the bowling alley on locust lane that was very important to me. every weekend this little building would host awesome punk rock/metal/hardcore shows and for a long time it made me and many others very happy. i don't know what happened to that little building. the shows became less frequent. the cool bands were replaced by horrendous squadrons of whiny, acoustic guitar-clutching, latte'-sipping, interpol-listening keyboard-playing college art faggots. the headbanging ceased, the mosh pits came to a sickening halt. i walked down locust lane the other day and while passing the bowling alley i decided to take a walk down the road beside the playground to see if that little building that i loved so much was still there. i took each step brimming with pleasant nostalgia as i remembered the many nights of my youth that were spent walking down that very road awaiting the awesome show that was about to ensue. and when i turned that corner, and the spot where the little painted building was located peered out from around the hill, i was saddened to see that it was no longer where once it had so valiantly stood. as i gazed upon the madness that was before me, i realized in horror that it had been replaced - replaced by what scientists refer to as a "black hole of gayness". maybe one day that hideous black chasm of faggotry will subside and the awesome little painted building will return. maybe - one day.
