About Me (Now improved to be politically less correct):
Low Fi Girl (that's me... Hi!) is a singer/songwriter born in Germany to Greek and British parents on American soil, er, before the fall of the Berlin wall. This cultural melting pot and general lack of direction fostered a shameless desire to perform at all occasions, most often where inappropriate; a talent that eventually harbored itself to the six-stringed anchor of her guitar. Just beginning to tour and writing prolifically, Low Fi fGirl (Michelle to relatives and health professionals) is now on the verge of breaking the music scene, or at least breaking something valuable, whichever comes first. I promise you, I sing better live than I do on these recordings!! I haven't played any gigs for a while cos to be fair I'm a bit sick of this solo lark! In a couple of bands now, yep TWO! OMFG! One is kinda crazy, the other is kinda tarded. My drummer in the tarded band though, she is super fly....
FYI - Acoustic Lounge is above the Smoke Rooms in Clapham, not far from the common and about a 10 minute walk from Clapham central station. It's worth checking out their Myspace as it's a really nice venue; candle-lit with a bar and seating... if you're dating a fan of acoustic music, a) poor you, things will improve, and b) take them there and you'll totally score ;) This song is "Dollar Store Girl" by the way, and I wrote it about 3 hours before the gig!
